10 Things to Remember When Planning A Wedding

1. BUDGET.

Weddings are expensive. Figure out how much you can afford to spend and then get the best
that you can within that price scope. Look for promotions, specials, deals or packages that can take
care of more than one item on the list.

2. DATE AND TIME.

Avoid clashing with sporting grand finals or other special events. If you can, check the long range weather
forecast. Before sending out invitations, check that the chosen location for the wedding, wedding reception
and a celebrant are available at that time on that date.

3. LOCATION AND CELEBRANT.

Choose a celebrant, priest or minister. If you elect to have a church wedding, check things like parking for the
bridal cars and guests. Plan how many rows that you will decorate as separate for family and special guests.

4. RECEPTION.

This is the major outlay. Select several venues according to size required and budget status and then check and
compare menus, aesthetics and what is on offer. Decide wedding decor and form of music.

5. BRIDAL PARTY.

The groom will select his best man and other/others and the bride will choose her matron of honour and bridesmaids.
Wedding cars need to be selected for the bride and others.

6. RINGS

The bride to be will already have her engagement ring. Select, try on and purchase the wedding rings and then put them in
a safe place. Decide if the best man will take care of them alone or if he will be assisted by a page boy carrying the rings in tied
to a satin cushion.

7. OUTFITS.

The bride will of course choose her glorious dress that fits. She will choose a colour scheme for her bridesmaids and oversee the
selection of their dresses. She will select her jewellery.

8. HAIR AND MAKE UP.

Select a style and look. Decide if you are getting that done professionally and if so book the artist and stylist in advance.
Remember to incorporate your veil.

9. FLOWERS.

There will be many of these. Figure out required bouquets and styles. Arrange what the men require. Organise flowers for the church and
the reception venue

10. HONEYMOON.

This includes wedding night accommodation. Plan your get away according to your budget constraints.
